After being mad and screaming all last week, it’s time to dial things back a bit and just vibe. Little influence from current news, little influence from our lives, mix it up and just vibe and see where we end up. Has the cultural landscape evolved beyond the scope that allowed Game of Thrones to be the tour de force that it was? Let’s discuss how our lives have been changed and shaped by technology so that we’re just little islands for wave after wave of content to crash into. This is Zero Credit(s).
Lots of things to be mad about, and only 1 hour, 12 minutes to be mad this week. Henry and John are charged up with rage this week at the very, very dumb things that are happening. A leak of a supreme court decision draft, the content of the leak, and of course, Fast and Furious news are all just rubbing us the wrong way. Hope you like hearing people be mad.
After a long journey to the very corners of Texas, Henry managed to get his hands on one of the fabled Space Cokes. Does it live up to the hype and warrant a two part segment over two episodes, or will its mediocrity drown us all into a wash of less than stellar content? Only time will tell in this particular episode, fams. We also have the latest Fast and Furious and Venomverse news as there are only two media properties we discuss any more. We’ll find better content soon, we promise, right here on Zero Credit(s).
Welp, the Fast X news starts coming and it don’t stop coming. This week we’ve got two more big updates for the Fast and Furious franchise. We promise we’ll talk about something else soon, but in the meantime, there’s just so much going on surrounding the penultimate film of this time honored, historic film franchise. Not mentioned in this episode because it was announced literally the next day: The 10th movie is called Fast X. We didn’t know that when we filmed, so be prepared to hear us say Fast10 way too much. Apologies in advanced. We’ve got all your FFCU news, right here on Zero Credit(s).
Everything’s back to normal this week on Zero Credit(s), so let’s catch up a little on some of the news we missed. The Fast and Furious franchise has a couple of big announcements for their upcoming last film in the series ever and another film series covered on this show has a monstrous announcement as well. I will now spend the rest of my time listing alternative titles for this episode: Mr. Momoa’s Wonder Momoaporium, AQM (A Qua Man), Chris Pratt is Reviving the Holy Magisterium, It’s Me, Spider Mank, At Least a Couple Wise Men, There Will Be an Ass.
The ZC Boys are out of sorts this week due to various l i f e happenings, but they manage to get it together to present a somewhat coherent episode with plenty of good moments. John laments his past mistakes and confesses that the Shamrock shake absolutely does have mint in it and Henry randomly talks about the Dr. Pepper Shake from Whataburger. We then launch into the meat of the episode, covering the practice known as Shrinkflation before deep diving back into Disney Pixar’s Turning Red and the criticism it elicits. We’ve got it all, plus Jason Bateman, right here on Zero Credit(s).
This week, we’ve got some bad news out of Japan that could very well spell trouble for the entire world and some very, very bad takes from some movie critics. Also of note is an update on the cultural dog piling on Russia. I’m sure there’s more but I’m on a phone trying to post this episode, so.
Last week we made the executive decision to not discuss Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine, largely because it hadn’t happened yet when we were recording. This week, we decide to not discuss the warfare aspect as it seemed distasteful. What we are talking about is the absolute dogpiling on Russia that’s taking place across the world and internet. Also, John finally figures out what he’s allergic to and more, all right here on Zero Credit(s).
Look, there’s a lot going on in the world today and it’s definitely rubbing up against the Zeitgeist. Normally, we love stuff like that, but at this particular time, we here at Zero Credit(s) do not feel adequately equipped to discuss war, other than to say, it’s bad and those who start wars should not be supported. So instead of getting bogged down in things that are over our head, please enjoy the next botnik written book Harry Potter and the Little Prince. We talk about other things, but really we just want to entertain in this dismal, dumb time. Be well, everyone, right here on Zero Credit(s).
Six years in the making, 249 episodes in the mainline series, it is time for Zero Credit(s) to enter its next phase. Episode 250 is a return to form and an unleashing of raw, pent up frustration of the state of the world through the lens of critiquing commercials. That time honored Zero Credit(s) pass time of reviewing Big Game commercials is here, along with some general talk of the future. Henry and John are in rare form, and there’s not been a stronger episode in years. It’s here for you, dear Fams. We hope you enjoy the end of season five.
